About Data Centre
Data Centre is an innovative open-source platform developed by One Earth Future's Open Nuclear Network (ONN) Programme. Our mission is to identify, track, understand, and address emerging threats to global security and humanity through data-driven insights and expert analysis. With Data Centre we strive to provide a comprehensive platform that informs and empowers stakeholders worldwide to take informed actions towards a more secure and peaceful global community.
The platform consists of three main sections:
The Monitoring Room is home to our flagship monitoring digest, Event Horizon. This regular publication tracks and highlights developing stories and news across critical geopolitical flashpoints, such as the NATO-Russia context, the Korean Peninsula, the Taiwan Strait, and the South China Sea. Event Horizon is an indispensable resource for anyone seeking to stay informed about the dynamics of these key regions and their implications for global security.
Thought Room
The Thought Room serves as the Data Centre's intellectual incubator, featuring a diverse collection of ONN's latest analyses, commentaries, and observations from both internal and external experts. This space is dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of global security issues, encouraging dialogue, and sharing diverse perspectives on matters of international significance. In the Thought Room, complex issues are unpacked, analysed, and discussed, contributing to the global discourse on peace and security.
The Data Hub is where ONN aggregates and curates relevant datasets that are essential for understanding global security dynamics. Currently, the Data Hub features an extensive database on DPRK sanctions, which is publicly available for researchers, policymakers, and the public to access and utilize in their work.
